Sync and data
Synchronisation with external calendars
An external client connects once with an application password: CalDAV clients cannot pass the A3.ID web sign-in. The event version doubles as the protocol ETag, so concurrency in synchronisation is the same as in the interface.

What is inside
- A CalDAV server by RFC 4791 on top of WebDAV
- Outlook, Apple Calendar and third-party clients by calendar address
- Connection by application password rather than an A3.ID session
- Product events are visible over CalDAV, but writing to them is rejected
- A revocable read-only subscription link for external clients
- Skipped and moved occurrences travel to external clients as series exceptions
Included in the single A3.Calendar edition, with no add-ons or higher plans. How to get access
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect Outlook or Apple Calendar?
Create an app password in the sharing section and enter it in the client together with the calendar address. The password is shown once and can be revoked at any time.
Can I edit product events from Outlook?
No. Product events are read-only in an external client; they are edited in the card of the source product.
