Scheduling
Time zones and working hours
The five countries of the suite live in different zones and switch to daylight saving differently. So the server never converts time for output, and the client never stores local clock readings.

What is inside
- UTC in storage plus the zone the event originated in
- Daylight saving is handled when a recurrence rule is expanded
- Working hours from the employee profile, 9:00 to 18:00 local by default
- Per weekday exceptions override the general hours
- Travel buffer between meetings in different places is computed on the server
- No buffer is added between adjacent meetings in the same place
- A second time column in another time zone for work with colleagues abroad
Included in the single A3.Calendar edition, with no add-ons or higher plans. How to get access
Frequently asked questions
How do attendees in different countries see a meeting?
Everyone sees it in their own time zone. The moment is stored in UTC with the zone the event was created in, so daylight saving changes shift nothing.
How do I set my working hours?
In the profile: hours per weekday, the time zone and a buffer between meetings. The meeting time search takes them into account automatically.
