Shared calendars and access rights

The right to a calendar and the visibility of an event are two different questions. Rights decide who sees the calendar in their grid at all, visibility decides what an outsider sees in the card.

What is inside

  • Calendar types: personal, team, resource and department
  • Rights: read, write, manage sharing
  • Rights go to an employee or a whole department, granted by the owner or a holder of manage sharing
  • Event visibility: full, busy only, hidden
  • A hidden event is invisible in other grids but still counts as busy
  • The public subscription link can be revoked by the owner at any moment

Included in the single A3.Calendar edition, with no add-ons or higher plans. How to get access

Frequently asked questions

How do I give my team access to a calendar?

The calendar owner grants read, write or sharing rights to an employee or to a whole department.

Can I hide the details of a private meeting?

Yes. The busy only visibility shows colleagues a busy period without a title, and a hidden event does not appear in other grids but still counts as busy time.
